What other features does Wessex Telephone offer
With your new Wessex Telephone service there are a number of features that you may find useful. Here’s a handy list and how to use them:
Last caller ID - Simply dial 1471 from your Wessex Telephone handset to retrieve the details of the last person who called you. Press 1 to return the call at your chosen call plan rate.
Withhold your number - When making a call, you can withhold your outgoing number by dialling 141 in front of the number you wish to dial. For example, 141 0333 240 7997 will dial the Wessex Internet number but will display as caller unknown.
Voicemail activation and retrieval - To activate the voicemail, please dial 1571. Once this has been activated then you can dial 1571 and follow the instructions. You will also receive voicemails to your specified email address. Voicemails are also stored on the system for 30 days.
Call Waiting - To activate the call waiting feature, which [lays a tone to your handset when another caller is ringing, dial *43 from your handset. To turn this feature off, please dial #43#
Call Forwarding - If you wish to forward your calls from your Wessex Telephone services, there are several options available. If you enable call forwarding, you will be charged for all forwarded calls at your chose call plan rate:
- Call forwarding Unconditional: This will forward ALL incoming calls to another number, all the time the feature is switched on. Simply dial *21 then when prompted, enter the number you wish to forward to.
To turn the feature off, dial #21#
For example: *21* 07700900XXX. To turn the feature off, dial #21#
- Call forwarding Not available: This will forward calls to another number if you don't answer within 15 seconds. Simply dial *61 then when prompted, enter the number you wish to forward to.

-Call forwarding when busy - This will forward calls to another number, when your Wessex Telephone is engaged. Simple dial *81* then when prompted, enter the number you wish to forward to
